We would like you to  visit our website and work with Mums4aChange knowing that your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how and why we gather, store and process data.

Why we collect information

All the personal information we collect from the website and our work with you will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

We gather information to comply with section 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, where “processing of data is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject or to take steps to enter into a contract.”

In addition if you sign up to our email newsletter, we collect your name and email address on the basis of ‘active consent’.

Personal information may be used:

  • to notify you of changes to the services we offer

Comments on our website – information collection and use

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Contact Form – information collection and use

Your name, email address and any information you give us on the contact form is used by us to respond to your enquiry and provide you with the requested service. The information you provide us with will not be used for marketing purposes.

In order to help us understand how to help visitors best use our Website we collect IP addresses and use google analytics and if your web browser is set up to accept them, we use a feature known as a “cookie”.

In each case the providers of these services will likely collect data about your usage that they will use to build up your profile as you search the web.  Each will have their own privacy/cookie policy which you can view by visiting their own websites.  Our site includes the following:

We use Google Analytics to review web traffic, not personal information about an individual.  We use cookies to compile visitor statistics such as how many people have visited our website, what type of technology they are using, how long they spend on the site, what page they look. how they reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have been here before etc.  This helps us to continuously improve our website.

Confidentiality agreements and sharing information

Mums4aChange works with a confidentiality policy so that ordinarily we would not share the content of our coaching work together unless we had consent to do so. The exceptions to this are if someone is at risk of serious harm or abuse or their life in danger if confidentiality were kept.

Prior to joining a group or 1-1 coaching programme you will be asked to enter into a coaching agreement that gives more details about confidentiality. The agreement explains that mums4achange coaches receive supervision and discuss their work with a supervisor and 3 other coaches for professional and development purposes.  Both supervisior and coaches are  bound by confidentiality and no identifying details are used.

The Europrean Mentoring and Coaching Council also require that records are kept and made available for scrutiny for accreditation purposes. Data collected and shared includes start date and duration of  the coaching as well as a purpose and outcome of the coaching in the broadest terms. No identifying details are used.

Where will personal information about you be stored?

The information that you provide to us via the Website and via the coaching relationship  will be stored by Mums4aChange.

If you opt to be on our mailing list, then Mailchimp will also be handling some of your data. Also if you opt into using our Facebook groups and Messenger then Facebook will also be handling some of your data.

By supplying such information, you consent to this transfer and storage.

Keeping information about you secure is very important to us. However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure and Mums4aChange cannot take responsibility for Internet based spyware, virus or other illegal Internet products/activity.  As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information which you send to us, and you do so at your own risk.

Accessing the information we hold about you

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. If you wish to see a copy of your personal information, or change any information that you have provided to us, please email us jo@co-creationcoaching.co.uk

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
